Milad Bazaz Jazayeri, Registered Physiotherapist, helped out with the Special Olympics. He spent a day volunteering to help Special Olympians get ready for competition this week.
This was part of the Special Olympics Ontario Healthy Athletes screenings. It was part of the preparation for the first ever Invitational Youth Games in Toronto.
This event will bring together over 2000 athletes from around the world to compete in 5 sports in the GTA. The Healthy Athletes program is a worldwide initiative that provides free health screening and education to Special Olympics athletes and people with intellectual disabilities, a population that is often medically under-serviced.
Well done Milad!
