Booking Appointments and Screening for Covid
Your Appointment at the Orthopaedic Therapy Clinic
Presently our building is open, please go directly to Suite 603 on the 6th floor and ring the doorbell. Wearing a mask is mandatory. Due to Covid we no longer have a waiting room so please arrive for your appointment no earlier than 5 minutes prior to your appointment. You will be screened for Covid and asked to use hand sanitizer. If you feel ill or have been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with Covid please do not come to the clinic. Call us to see if a Telehealth video conference may work for you.
The Orthopaedic Therapy Clinic Cleaning Procedures
Gym Therapists Cleaning Procedures
- Clients will be wearing covering on their feet (i.e. Shoes or socks) at all times when in the gym
- Black mats are to be disinfected before and after use
- Exercise equipment (eg. weights, balls, etc.) will be disinfected before and after use. Patients are encouraged to bring in their own exercise equipment that can be used at home and is easy to transport (eg. theraband)
- Contact surfaces of cardio equipment will be cleaned before and after use
- Treatment table will be cleaned before and after use
Physical Therapist/Chiropractor Cleaning Procedures
- Therapists will disinfect chair, clinician desk, treatment table, encased pillows, stools, both sides of door handles, cupboard and desk handles before and after use
- Patient’s clothing and belongings will remain on the patient chair throughout duration of treatment
- If a patient needs to remove their shoes, they will be required to leave them close to the treatment table so that they are able to put them on right after treatment
- If electrical outlet or light switch are used, they will be sanitized
- If electrical equipment was used during appointment (Eg. ultrasound machine), it will be disinfected
Massage Therapists Cleaning Procedures
Therapists will disinfect chair, door handles (inside/outside), treatment table, face piece, arm rests, computer, stool, massage cream bottles and tubes, Mylar blanket and all other tools used throughout the course of the treatment day.
- Linens (pillow case covers, sheets) will be changed after use.
- Patient’s clothing and belongings will remain on the patient chair throughout the duration of treatment
- If patient needs to remove their shoes, they will be required to leave them close to the treatment table so that they are able to put them on right after treatment
- If electrical outlet or light switch are used, they will be sanitized
- If electrical equipment was used during appointment (Eg. ultrasound machine), it will be disinfected
