 What do chiropractors do?

Chiropractors are manual therapists that can offer a wide range of treatment plans catered to your specific injuries, conditions, and comfort level. Chiropractors not only treat the spine but the entire musculoskeletal system of the body.

How can it help me?

Chiropractors are trained to use a multimodal treatment plan that consists of joint mobilizations, rehabilitation exercises, soft tissue therapy, joint manipulations, and acupuncture.

Our chiropractors also collaborate with other healthcare providers at the Orthopaedic Therapy Clinic (physiotherapists, massage therapists, kinesiologists) to ensure you are receiving a complete circle of care.

Do I need a doctors’ referral to see a chiropractor?

No, you do not require a physician’s referral to be treated by a chiropractor. However, please check with your insurance company to see if you require one for reimbursement.

What can I expect at my appointment?

At your initial appointment, your chiropractor will complete a detailed health history regarding your conditions, followed by a physical examination. Based on your history and physical exam, your chiropractor will communicate a treatment plan catered specifically for you. Your treatment duration and frequency will be individualized based on your goals and conditions.

Can I use my insurance?

Yes! Chiropractic treatments are covered by most employee healthcare benefit plans.
